In conjunction with worker’s compensation I have been approved for six weeks of P/T twice a week. I started my first session this week for only thirty(30) minutes per session. At the end of the day, I don’t think this it is going to work out. I’m doing it never the less.
The first appointment at the end of August was the assessment. I told my whole story again. They ended up taking lots of measurements. The P/T person explained the injury at work might have enflamed my arthritis. After a few exercises to do at home, she also concluded my condition must be coming from the back.
Tuesday of this week, I did another 30-minute session. We simply reviewed the exercises from home. Then she pulled my legs to help strengthen my back. That was a bad idea. I got a paralyzing pain in my lower back. It scared the crap out of me. Now she concludes I definitely may have something wrong with my back. The plan is to continue strengthening exercises in both legs and the back.
I walked seven blocks to the P/T therapist’s office, as I am today. This was to show them what I go through every day. A ten-minute walk took me at least 30 minutes. I did mention I have sandals with rubber bottoms, which help alleviate the pain at home. Over the last two days, my knee has been acting up, so I haven’t walked much at home. I usually try to walk a block or a block and a half every few hours (while playing Pokémon). Speaking of which, it’s about time to get ready for my appointment.
On another note, my attorney hasn’t contacted me in two weeks. I sent an email last week asking about the procedure in their office and when to expect a response. Honestly, part of me is patient. I know there are many, many cases they are handling. On the other hand, it’s a simple email that someone could respond to in five minutes. I guess I’ll just keep waiting.
Lastly, my drinking has slowed down. I’m just tired of drinking. But that is another story for another day.
